Awarding of Diplomas

 

The Diploma Award Ceremony for EBOD 2010 will take place the day after the Written Paper and Oral Examination (May 8, 2010 at 5.30pm).

 

In the presence of the Executive Committee of
the European Board and of the Board of Examiners, the candidates who pass the EBOD examination and already hold a valid certificate of Specialist in Ophthalmology in any country of the European Union, Norway, or Switzerland will be presented with their new European Board of Ophthalmology Diplomas, signed by the President and all Vice-Presidents of the Board.

The candidates who are still residents will be presented at the award ceremony with a Certificate, while the Diploma will remain in the care of their National Delegate until the Candidate has provided a certified copy of a document confirming national registration as a Specialist.

 

The FEBO Title


Those ophthalmologists who have acquired the EBO Diploma (either by taking and succeeding in the Diploma
Examination or by fulfilling the ad eundem criteria) can, and are encouraged to, add the title Fellow of the European Board of Ophthalmology (FEBO) after their name.
