The European Board of Ophthalmology (EBO), in collaboration with the EGS, wishes to increase the knowledge for general ophthalmology as well as subspecialty and contribute to raising the standards of glaucoma care in Europe. The EBO Glaucoma Subspecialty Exam, organised by the EGS in collaboration with the EBO, is the opportunity for ophthalmologists with particular interest in glaucoma to have their knowledge and expertise certified. Successful candidates will be awarded a diploma: the Fellow of the EBO Subspecialty Glaucoma Diploma (FEBOS-glaucoma diploma). This diploma is recognized as a proof of advanced knowledge and competence in this field.

The EBO and the EGS invite all interested ophthalmologists who have completed an ophthalmology residency program in a country member of the UEMS and a proper glaucoma fellowship training according to the requirements (see documents) to apply for the EBO Glaucoma Subspecialty Exam. The exam will be held in Paris on May 6th 2016.
