The education committee of the European Board of Ophthalmology establishes a common European educational standard in Ophthalmological knowledge by organising the EBO exams.
Organisation of the EBOD
The educational committee is achieving its mission by organising the EBO examinations (Multiple choice questions and viva voce) for residents & young ophthalmologists from the European Union and associated countries (Norway, Switzerland, Iceland) who are in their last (fourth ) year of residency. A successful candidate is honored with the EBO diploma (EBOD) and title Fellow of the European Board of Ophthalmology (FEBO)
Bank of MCQs
MCQs are always built to follow the same format.They are collected from two main sources; the EBO accredited courses (ENET) and the contribution of examiners to the EBO exam. These MCQs are reviewed according to the topic by committees within different European society, re-corrected by the EBO workgroup and stored in the Mcq Bank
